The meaning of the name Perlentor

The book of Revelation, the last book in the Bible, talks about a city with 12 gates.("Tor" in German) Each gate consists of a pearl, ("Perle" in German) a "Gate of Pearls" ("Perlentor")

The city stands for a place where it never gets dark again and there is no more pain, fear, oppression, manipulation or tears and the "old" is gone.

Our work should symbolically be a “Gate of Pearls” for women.
